Junior & Mini Rugby
St. Albert provides a minor rugby program administered by the Edmonton Rugby Union (ERU). All players from the age of 3-18 (male and female) are welcome to play. Games are (for the most part) against other member clubs of the ERU. The ERU's home grounds are Ellerslie Rugby Park (ERP) on Ellerslie Rd & 111th - 11004 Ellerslie Rd SW, Edmonton.

New players are welcome to sign up anytime! Weather permitting, the season starts late April / early May and ends in mid-July for U5-U15 players. U18 players start training in June, with their first games in early July. Their season ends in late August.
A player’s age group is determined based on their age before January 1, 2017.

We require that players purchase their own shorts and socks for games. Club colours are black shorts and red socks. For contact players, we recommend rugby (as opposed to soccer) shorts, available from select sports stores.
All contact players require mouthguards for training and games. These should be properly fitted so that they do not fall out during play. Custom-made mouthguards from dentists are great or heat-mouldable versions available from sports stores.
The junior rugby season kicks off with games May 6th and training has started. LATE registrations will receive program information and an invite to Team Snap 1-2 days following registration. Thank you for your patience. Junior rugby is 100% volunteer powered.
