Junior & Minor Rugby

St. Albert provides a minor rugby program administered by the Alberta Junior Rugby Association (AJRA). All players from the age of 5-18 (male and female) are welcome to play.

Registration for the 2010 season starts February 27th and 28th. The Director of Junior Rugby will be available at SARFC to answer any questions and assist with sign up until 3 PM. After this weekend, registration forms and payment are accepted daily at the clubhouse bar.

Junior Rugby Age Grades:

• Under-18 Boys

• Under-18 Girls

• Under-16 Boys

• Under-15 Girls

• Under-14 Boys

• Under-12 Boys and Girls

• Under-10 Boys and Girls

• Under-8 Boys and Girls

Registered junior players (17 years old) are encouraged to attend senior rugby training to develop their skill level and meet their future teammates. Senior team coaches may apply for dispensation if a junior player of 17 years shows advanced skill and physical development and would benefit from playing at the adult level.

Time: 7-8 PM (Please ensure you arrive early)

Cost: $4 per player per session (cash only)

Age: Under-8 to Under-16 Boys and Girls

Equipment: Running shoes and a water bottle

Dates: Thursdays from February 4th to April 15th
